Check-in after 12:00pm and check-out until 10:00am.

 

Do you offer airport shuttle service?

Yes, we do provide shuttle service always within prior notification.

 

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Breakfast is always included. All meals (Beakfast, Lunch and Dinner) are included only in Full Board Bookings.

 

Are there any recreational facilities available, such as a pool, spa, or fitness center?

Yes, we have pool, meeting room and spa (massages, body and face treatment). Eventually, only in prior notification, we can offer different activities such as yoga, meditation or outdoor exercises.

 

Can I request a late check-out? Is there an additional charge for this service?

Late check-out can be subjected to extra charge due to lodge occupancy. No extra charge will be done in case of availability. Please check in advance while booking or on arrival.

 

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Despite we love pets and all animals, pets are not allowed in the hotel. We don’t recommend our guests to bring their pets to Tanzania, in case they are doing safari or climbing. Pets probably will be safer and less stressed at their hometowns and environment.

 

How do I request special amenities or services, such as champagne, flowers, or a special room setup for celebrations?

Please tell us your ideas in advance (better while booking) and we will surprise your special one or your group (and also, we will surprise you). We love to celebrate special moments. We have some very special spots to celebrations!

 

Is there a concierge service to help with booking tours and tickets to local attractions?

Yes, please contact us at Reception. Tell us all your needs and we can find together the best day trips or journeys.

 

Are smoking rooms available, or is the hotel entirely smoke-free?

The bungalows and surroundings, such as their private gardens and the Chelewa Spa are non-smoking areas. Their “grass” roof and the arid periods in Manyara can be very dangerous considering fire hazard. We brief all our guests to be aware of the importance to avoid smoking in those areas. There are reserved areas in main building and pool lounge that can be consciously used as smoking areas by our guests. Always considering the rights of other guests not to smell the smoke.

 

Do you provide baby cribs or cots for families traveling with infants?

Yes, please tell us all your needs in advance while booking or at the hotel concierge desk or reception area.

 

What is Wildlife Management Area (WMA) fee?

There are areas bordering parks classified as WMA managed by local communities. These fees are obligatory and paid daily. WMA is 29 dollars per person per day (July 2023).

 

Is there a business center equipped with computers and printing facilities?

Yes, we have business center facilities equipped with a printer and other office facilities. Please check in advance with reception or while booking, in case you or your group have special needs. Suricata Boma Lodge is an ideal place for nomad people working abroad.

 

Can I request room service, and what are the operating hours for in-room dining?

Room service is available until midnight. Meal’s time are: lunch from 12:00 until 2:30pm; dinner from 7:30 until 9:30pm. Breakfast will be served from 6:30 until 9:30am.

 

Are there any nearby shopping or entertainment areas within walking distance? Approximately 15 minutes’ by tuktuk (or a bit more cycling) you will be in Mto wa Mbu town. There all local shopping, small businesses, craftsman workshops and entertainment are available.

 

What is the hotel’s policy on cancellations and reservation modifications?

—  25% deposit is required at the time of confirmation. This amount excludes WMA fees.

—  75% of total price plus WMA fees (representing full payment) to be received by Suricata Boma Lodge 10 days before client’s arrival.

—  Provisional bookings will be held subject to availability for 7 days only and will be automatically released if payment is not received on time.

—  All extras to be settled in full before departure, after checking extra consumptions & activities, bungalows bar, decoration and general state.

 

Are there any special events or activities organized by the hotel during my stay?

We love to host and are always searching to surprise our guests. Nowadays we have local traditional dancers and acrobatic shows during the evening.

 

How can I access the hotel’s Wi-Fi, and is it complimentary?

Wi-Fi is available in all areas of Boma at no extra costs. We kindly ask all our guests to consume internet consciously at the lodge. Please bring from home all downloaded music, series, movies, you or your children may need.

 

Are there any accessible rooms or facilities for guests with mobility challenges?

We are a barrier-free hotel. Our disabled guests should have the autonomy they need and of course all our staff is prepared to assist too. Please while booking tell us all your needs and we will be happy to re-check all our buildings and interior design to international standards and specially to your personal needs. The pool includes an accessible ramp.

By car, from Suricata Boma Lodge to Kilimanjaro Airport: 3 hr 30 min (196.8 km).

By car, from Suricata Boma Lodge to Arusha Airport: 2 hr 50 min (160.5 km).

 

What security measures does the hotel have in place to ensure guests’ safety?

Tanzania is in general a very safe country. In Boma we invested in double safety. We have a 24hrs guards patrol at the Lodge and 24hrs CCTV monitoring. We advise you to give our manager your valuable items, and in the room, you have a safe drawer with key.

 

Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out if needed?

Yes, we have a storage-room facility at the Lodge.

 

Are there laundry and dry-cleaning services available for guests?

Yes, please consult the Laundry Menu prices in the Bungalows or reception for more details.

 

Can I request a specific room view or floor during the reservation process?

Of course, tell us your needs or expectations when making the reservation. Depending on availability we will be happy to accommodate you.
